At the bottom of Poolmath is a tool called Effects of Adding Chemicals. Enter your gallons at the top and the amount of each type of cal-hypo to see how much FC each adds to your pool. Then you can do the math to see which is a better value. Also, note the amount of CH that each adds to your pool and make sure you don't add too much CH and risk calcium scaling.

I also wanted to add that we do not recommend a weekly "shock". TFP teaches to always maintain proper chlorine (FC) levels as a function of your stabilizer (CYA) level to keep the pool clean and safe. By doing so, there is never a need to randomly add a bunch of extra chlorine on an arbitrary schedule.
