Posting here b/c it's related to my testing. I was looking for a local source for R-0871 (my kits is running out quickly during my SLAM). I called my pool store and asked the person who answered about the "reagents" they carry "for an FAS/DPD, R-0871", was transferred, repeated to the next person who said they had "strips and kits." I asked if they carried refills, they responded which one and I said "R-0871".
"We don't number ours like that, which test?"
"Free Chlorine over 10 ppm?"
"no we don't have that."
I'm not surprised but no knowledge of the terms "reagent" or "FAS/DPD". I found this amusing from folks who've worked in pools for more than a year (or decade, I presume), and I've learned all of this in < 3 weeks (I'm no expert but learning quickly).
By the way I'm getting my refill from TFTestKits.net. Have a laugh all, enjoy your day!
