Solar Cover questions for Intex Ultraframe

We have a 16' above ground Intex ultraframe pool. 16' Intex (or similar) solar covers are $75+. 15' ones are $25 and 18' ones are $30. Should I get the 15' one and have some gaps, or should I get an 18' one and cut it to fit? I'm not paying $75!

We also will be putting in pool stairs that have a railing, rather than the ladder. Can I cut slits in the cover to go around the railings?

I would go with the 15 ft yes you can cut slits but I bet you wouldn't have to with the 15 ft . I leave mine lay on the ladder don't want to cut it.

Yep, +1 to a 15 footer. Cutting slits for the ladder is fine. It is best if the cover lies flat on the water so the wind doesn't catch it.
