Bee's trying to get under coping

The last two days have been full pool days for a change and it's been real hot. I seem to have several rather aggressive bee's trying to get between the coping and the lining these real hot days. Would insect or was wasp spray around the coping hurt anything, like the coping, liner, or WATER chemistry?

I think those wasp sprays are pretty oily. I would try something like Home Defense or something first.
