How to remove water from my pool? CYA too high

Hi

I have been using these stupid tablets from costco instead of bleach in my pool and was told here to stop as my CYA would climb. I just tested and indeed it did steadily week after week. It is now at 90 and should be at the highest at 50.
What does this CYA do?
Anyway I have an above the ground pool and pool calculator tells me I have to replace 44% of the water. That is some task!!! How do I do that?

You have an AG pool ... easiest way to remove water is using a hose as a siphon.

BTW, a CYA of 90ppm is workable if you always maintain enough FC and avoid algae.

I have read the ABC of pool school thxs.
My question was "How do I syphon"? Technique to use, I don't know how to syphon.

Put a hose under the water, get all the air out (could use a return jet to shoot through the hose).
Cover 1 end with your hand and take it out of the pool to below the water level.
Remove your hand.
Let physics take over
