Chlorine overpowering alkalinity

When doing a reading of alkalinity. I couldn't because my chlorine level was so high.
Is there a way to read alkalinity when chlorine level is high?

The TA test should work fine, although the color change might be different. See the extended test instructions in Pool School.

Only the pH test does not read correctly at FC greater than 10ppm.
