Does anybody have ladder hinges?

Hey all,

I really want to put the ladder in my pool but it has an automatic cover so it means I have to take it out everytime. I've heard of some ladder hinges but they run anywhere from $120 to $200 a pair....These can't be that hard to make but I was hoping I could find a photo or two of their construction.
Any ideas from you gurus about saving a few dollars...
