Thanks Mr Mod Squad. Curious, why not a concrete material. I also have missing pebble and concrete around my boulders..
Because it is messy, hard to clean up and has no flexibility. For that spot anyway, it was likely caused by movement of the coping separate from the pool shell.
No, not really, whatever they have at your fave big box will be fine. That isn't a very critical joint.
