@TheLoneHoot - I'm in JAX too and have the same issue! What did you do to help? The tree is getting cut soon (my neighbor says).

The best way to clear organic stains from your pool is to raise FC to shock level for your CYA for several days to a week and brush daily or more often. Chlorine CYA Chart

I have an oak tree that covers half my pool and is currently raining unset acorns daily.
These are tannin stains.
From my experience not leaving them sitting for long periods of time helps in how fast they lift.
I use trichlor pucks and place 3-4 of them on stains and then check every few minutes. Rotate them around to the worst ones - hey your swimming and cleaning at the same time.
If you don't allow them to sit for extended periods of time normal chlorination and circulating water will remove them in a couple hours.
