Just wanted to introduce myself. A few weeks ago we bought a house with a 20,000 gallonish in-ground vinyl pool. Before we even moved in I found this site and ordered my TF-100 and speedstir so I could start off right! I also keep saltwater reef aquariums, so water testing is a pretty normal thing to me. I spend a lot on the right test kits for my reef, figured I'd spend what I needed for something my family and friends will be immersing themselves in. 
Anyway things are going decent so far. The previous owners used trichlor, so the CYA is a little high at around 70-80. At some point I will do a partial drain, but right now I'm just following the chart and keeping my FC at 9. Pool had a small bit of algae when we took possession of the house, but did a SLAM and it's algae free now, and looking great. I'm sure I'll screw something up at some point though and be on here looking for advice soon enough!
