adding MA... how much at a time?

I am in hard core lower TA via MA and aeration mode. I generally add 4 cups at a time.. but sometimes 8 cups.. Is that too much at one time?

Always add only enough to bring your pH down to no lower than 7.0. Anywhere between 7.0 to 7.2 pH is where you want to be. If it takes 8 cups to get it there each time, then that is what you should add. I'd just use the Pool Calculator to determine what you need to get you there.
