I have added many jugs of acid since getting my pool re-plastered and I was hoping that after a while I would not have to add as much acid. I performed all the startup techniques and the plaster dust has not been visible for a month or more. The pool was re-plastered a little over 2 months ago and I check the PH daily with a digital PH meter and verify sometimes with strips and test kit. I keep the PH balanced and put in a little every day and it come out to about a jug of 31.45% acid a week now. That seems like a lot to me but is less than when I started. Will it continue to go down like I hope?

My pool was opened in Sep '14 - I've just RECENTLY noticed a drop in my acid consumption.
It takes a year-ish for plaster to cure.
High TA contributes to PH rise, lower it to 60-70, Pool School - Lower Total Alkalinity
