Evaporation is my enemy now with 20 by 40 pool and shallow well at my house. I'd like to keep my solar cover as much time as I can. I'm in a final stages of getting pool ready. Water is greenish but it's getting there. Can I keep it on while shocking?
Should I use solar cover while shocking the pool?

The SLAM process is always done without the cover. UV rays get rid of CC's during this process and you need that. CC's are a bigger enemy than evaporation, by far.
