Hi!
We just moved into a new-to-us home a few weeks ago and it has a 16' Intex metal frame above ground pool. The previous owners left it up all winter, with no cover, so we pumped it out and scrubbed it this past weekend, and started to refill it. Previous owners also took the filter and pump with them, so we ordered a new one that arrived yesterday. We realized that a couple legs are not completely vertical, so we'll be draining it again and straightening everything up, making sure the feet are all properly supported, and wrapping a strap around the bottom to keep the feet all in place. The rope underneath has disintegrated.

The previous owners have it set up on a nice pad, all level, with some stonework around it. They dug out a small hill to make a level area. I'm hoping we can get a couple years out of this pool, and if we like it, get a "real" above ground pool for the same location. 16' seems like it's not a standard size, though, so we either have to re-landscape for an 18' or go with a 15' when the time comes. Groundwork is no fun!

Pool season in Maine is wicked short, so a pool is a major expense for something you can really only use 2-3 months a year. We'll see how it goes this summer. We've always just gone to the nearest lake or river to swim!
