Once a week ought to be enough unless you live next to a field and the farmer is out plowing.
Even when the pool looks perfect, it's amazing how much fine stuff is sticking to the walls. It's the aquatic equivalent of dusting the blinds in your house!
If the polaris gets the floor clean, I wouldn't bother brushing it. Although brushing the floor is loads easier than the walls.
That actually answers another question I had too...I always find at least minute amounts of dust on the floor when i brush. I was hoping this was normal.
