Vinyl liner and Robot cleaners

When out with one of my friends yesterday, who also owns a pool, we were discussing this site, and the fact that I had bought a new robot cleaner for my pool and loved it. He looked at me and said, "you can't have a robot cleaner with a vinyl liner".

I did not read that with the owners manual and wonder if anyone could offer an opinion. I just spend a ton on a new liner, and for that matter, on the robot. Thanks..

Where did your friend get that information? There is no reason why you can't have a robotic cleaner with a vinyl liner. I've been using robotic cleaners with my vinyl liner for many years.

I didn't think so, and am not sure who told him that, or why he thinks it. I love my bot....

Please don't tell my bot's that they can't clean my vinyl pool. They have all thought they could and have done a good job for 10 years!!

My robot does a fine job on my liner, and has been doing so for 3 years.
