Sand or Filter Issues

I have had issues with pressure since I had the pool installed 2yr ago by Namco. Have got by and slowly moved through and made sure all was sealed.

Did sand yesterday and replaced what was in there. 1 Home Depot bucket. 70 lbs.

Add a 50lbd bag of new sand plus half the old.

Does to little sand cause pressure issues on out flow?

2hp motor or 1HP

Got a Namco Oval 25 foot 2 years ago. Sure it was suppos d to have a 2 hp motor but it has 1 hp.

Will I be ok with a 1 HP if I can fix my pressure issues or do I really need a 2hp?

1 hp is fine-----------2 hp is overkill.
