Above ground pool ladder

My metal pool ladder has become very rusted. I can no longer put it into the pool water, as it releases metal into the water and deactivates all chemicals, turning the water green and cloudy. My question is has anyone else replaced their ladder with something different? I know they sell plastic ones that sit over the edge of pool, but I've been told they are upwards of $300.00? Can not spend that. Any suggestions? ?
My pool is 16 x48, metal frame, latex.

They are not cheap I know but they work very well... let's see if we can find a less expensive one
