Pentair LED Color light question

Hello all! Just been reading and learning so much with this Forum! I'll post up a proper introduction in a bit but first a quick question. I'm sure someone out there will know the answer. I have purchased a Pentair LED Color light for my pool. Just one of them. I'm thinking I do not need the Pentair LED Controller because I am only installing one LED light. Correct?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The controller 600054 is mainly for automation. You can control your light with a wall switch or use this item to simplify light show choices. I have a spa 5G LED intellibrite controlled by a manual light switch. It can be confusing sometimes to select between the 15 different light shows available but it's really a choice of convience. Oh, to answer your question, no it's not needed.
