I just had my cement patio replaced with stamped concrete. I am considering drilling and installing the brass anchors myself. I've read some old threads on this, but am wondering if there is anyone with recent experience or tips? Should I do it or let the pool company install them. I believe there are a total of 35 anchors. Their price was around $550. I do not want to use the flanges to cover the outside of the holes, so will need to be very careful drilling to minimize chipping. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Rich

We did that last fall. Get a good hammer drill (or rent one) and a nice bit. We bought a cheap hammer drill from Harbor Freight and we killed it by the time we were done with 24 anchors. My husband drilled slow and steady and brushed out the hole often and we hardly had any chipping.
