Howdy: pool was installed 9/2015 and closed a few days later. Opened up this weekend per TFP steps and surprised to see sparkling clear water and zero debris. First test results after running the pump (SWG not turned on) for 24 hours are:

FC 0
CC .05
PH 6.8
TA 70
CH 300
CYA 0
Salt 4.8 / 1810 ppm

working on the calculator no but wanted to get some thoughts on these results and next steps. I have no pool chemicals yet so I'm hoping for some guidance as to what to gather over the next few days. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to TFP!

You are going to need chlorine, CYA and salt right off the bat.

Your pH is concerning. It's down at the bottom of the range for the test, so could be even lower. How confident are you in the reading?

pH and FC need to come up today! Your forecast is warming up so algae will be ready to come out and play if they haven't already started. If FC isn't disappearing immediately CYA is the next to come up.

How in the world did you measure 0.05 CC?

Welcome to the forum.

Raise you pH into the mid 7's

Raise your FC into thew 3-4 range and KEEP IT THERE by adding daily.

Raise your CYA to 40 ppm to start.
