Pebble tec pool cracked???

HELLO!!! Well I am brand new and looking for some help. My wife and I are looking looking at buying a home with a Pebble tec pool. The house was built in 2004 and I'm not really sure if the pool is that old. The pool and surroundings look great and seem to be well taken care of. I did notice what looks to be hairline cracks at the bottom. I actually don't see a gap or anything and it kinda just looks like lines but we had the home inspection today and the inspector thinks they are cracks. Anyone see this before? Is it cracks or maybe just a poor job doing the finish? I really appreciate any input as we have a short inspection period to ask the sellers to do something. I could call out a pool company to come look at it too but thought I would start here with the experts!!

I would definitely ask for for the seller to replaster before you close escrow with an inspection after the chip out before the new plaster goes on and an escape clause if the plaster company finds structural cracks. The cracks could be something as simple as a bad job or the pool was drained as some point and left dry for a long period of time either way I would want it replaced and to know what is going on below to be sure. There are are few builders one here I am sure one of them will chime in. At the very very least get a Pebble tech contractor to take a look and if they think the structure is ok, then see if you can get the price down by the replaster amount.

Attech is right, could have happened if the pool was drained for a period of time or possibly not prepped correctly before plaster. Either way its not good and will most likely need resurfacing. Pretty rare to see structural in the floor of a pool I would say more than likely these are just on the finish.

I'm very surprised they did not disclose anything during the sale thus far, especially if its structure. I think at the very least, I agree with getting it looked at by a pool specialist to get a proper diagnosis. My problem is the market is for sellers right now and its going to be tough for me to push this back on them. I really appreciate the feed back!!!

That looks like a plaster problem not an underling structural shell problem. Pool shells are strong and crack for a reason random cracks on a floor are uncommon.
