Hello all,

New pool owner (complete newbie), also new to TFP. Happy I found this site, I've spent a lot of time browsing around!

New pool opened a few weeks ago, filled with the hose. So far here are my levels. I added a few gallons of chlorine yesterday.

PH: 8
TA: 120
CYA: 0
FC: 2
CC: 0.5

I don't have a salt tester yet, but easytouch says its at 3350ppm.
PB set my SWG to 50%.

From what I am reading I need to lower PH, and add stabilizer, and chlorine?
I am testing with a Taylor K-2006.

Thanks!
Mike

Yup- you need to do all three items you list. Do the pH first, then the CYA can be added to a sock and floating in front of a return. Then it can dissolve at its own pace (helped by an occasional squoosh by hand) and as soon as you stand up from hanging that CYA sock, go ahead and add the necessary liquid chlorine to get your level up.

Have you started reading Pool School yet?

Welcome!
