My pool had a cya measurement of 20 a week or so ago. I have only been adding menards 12.5% bleach as needed and had (1) 3" chlorine tablet in a floater. Today my cya measures 45. I checked it 3 times just to be sure. What could be going on?

What as the temp of the water when you did the first test, if it was below 70 it could have been off, and that 1 puck added CYA and I bet there was some leftover in the floater...
Still, 40 CYA is just about perfect...

The CYA test is known to be off with cold water samples, but works well when sample is at swim temperature, so if testing a cold pool allow the water sample to warm up.
