Most reliable test for Total Dissolved Solids?
At what point do we concern ourselves with TDS levels?

Even with small pools in Florida with no backwashing, a lot of evaporation, and where balancing was avoided? There has to be a point where solids will no longer dissolve and chemicals will be ineffective or at least inefficient, no?
I know it is the 12.1 constant in the Saturation Index formula, anyone else have any thoughts?

Well, the maximum solubility of salt in 80 degree water is about 360,000 ppm, so I guess when you get near 300,000 TDS you should start to worry.

Just to put this to bed, TDS is not a parameter that we test for.
