Noob AGP numbers

Hi, and thanks in advance.
This is the 2nd season for our 18' round, 48" deep above ground pool, with paper filter. I let it get pretty nasty before replacing the water and cleaning the pool a few weeks ago. I have only recently begun testing, and I want to make sure I am on the right track. This morning:
5.5 FC
7.2 PH
170 TA
20 CH
20 CYA

Does anything stick out here? In pool math, I use a depth of 3.8 feet. I have added muriatic acid a couple times to lower ph, and I added stabilizer about 4 days ago (so I'm not sure about the accuracy of the cya reading). I recently purchased a pool vac to help with the "fine" debris. My water is a bit cloudy right now.

Welcome to the forum.

Add enough CYA to get to 50 ppm. Your pool will consume a LOT less bleach.

FC, TA and pH are all fine.

20 CH is surprisingly low but it doesn't matter much in a vinyl pool. I would probably raise CH to around 250 but it can wait a few weeks.

Keep the cold ones close by and go swimming!:swim:
