Cleaning Sticky Pollen off Cartridge Filter

I have trees in my yard (and my pool is basically in the middle of a forest).

Each spring I get a sticky sap like coating in my pool and filter.

Automatic dish detergent just does not cut it, TSP does OK, yet today I tried Simple Green. It seemed ok, but I know there must be something better.
Chlorine also does little to remove this stuff.

Any ideas for a super cartridge soap/cleaner would be appreciated.

Ps I soak it in a large tub then hose off with a brass nozzle.

Are you getting real TSP? Off the top shelf at Lowes? There is new greener, weaker TSP out now. I was curious about the sap thing and the number one thing I saw most for cleaning sap was alcohol based cleaners. Not sure exactly how to implement an alcohol cleaner for a filter though.

On another note, the brass nozzle works great but I recently got one of these and it works great, Filter Flosser | Filter Flosser Cartridge Cleaning Tool
