Is my system undersized

I'm about to change out my salt water generator for the third time in eight years .
my installer put in a Hayward T cell five for my 19,000 gallon pool running off an aqua plus digital controller. I've had clear water running 8 to 10 hours per day unless it gets real hot in the middle of the summer it gets cloudy. Has this Cell been too small the whole time? Theonly other issue I have to deal with is high pH for which I add acid.

Welcome to TFP!

The T-Cell 5 is rated for 20,000 gallons which is about .65lbs of chlorine a day running 24/7. This is undersized for your pool and the T-Cell 15 is the better choice for your pool size. The T-15 can produce 1.4lbs of chlorine in 24 hours which will reduce the amount of run time your pool needs for the SWG to make enough chlorine.

You will have to check to make sure your system can accept a T-15 sized cell.

Having the Water Balance for SWCGs
per our guidelines will help increase the life span of the SWG.
