CYA Test Question

Does the water need to be at room temp to accurately test CYA?

That seems to be the current consensus.

It seems that the stuff doesn't react and get cloudy very well below about 70F and will give a falsely low reading. If your water's cold, just set a cupful of pool water in a sunny windowsill a while to warm up and use that to test CYA. Don't test the rest with the sample that's been sitting, just CYA. Do the others straight from the pool.

Perfect. Thanks.. I added some conditioner last week after testing the water when it was very cold.. Hopefully I didn't overshoot...
