Drain help

Hi!

My inground spa constantly gets Jacaranda twigs in it which then get stuck in the valves. It's a real pain. I have standard Heyward drains on now. My pool guy recommended putting panty hose over the drain which seems like it would work, but I'd like a more permanent solution. Any drain recommendations? Are there speciality drains?
