Hi All,

Thanks for the great website and resources. We purchased a property recently with a pool and we've been using this site as we go. Unfortunately there's a crack in one of the steps. Looks like fiberglass. Going to post a few photos below. Wondering what you folks suggest in terms of remediation. Steps are definitely squishy so the fill underneath probably needs to be replaced. I'm thinking one option would be to drill some holes in that top step and pour sand in to fill underneath. What other options would you suggest we consider? Thanks!

So I'm a concrete kind of guy so I would probably go with grout. You might want to hire a small concrete guy to do it.

Sand won't flow and completely fill the void. A well applied grout will flow in and fill all the void.

If you want to do this yourself PM me and I will give you some pointers

You also need to repair the step.
