I think the reasons it went fast could be as follows:
1) caught it early
2) the way too high levels of FC
- a) killed algae quickly
- b) such high levels mask changes
3) not mustard algae
4) new water
5) 2x per day brushing, vacuuming, and 24/7 high filter
I plan to continue removing all material, brushing, and testing at least 1x per day until I am at or below 20 FC. I will then do one more OCLT to make sure 2.b was not the problem.
I have seen one problem with the SLAM method. It made my water so clear I can see how bad the plaster looks now hahaha
