Not my first pool, but first without a multiport. Only has the jandy valves and a handle that turns right at the filter. I'm not sure of backwashing, no backwash hose connected. Any ideas/hints appreciated!

Welcome to TFP!!!You filter has a push/pull backwash valve. The pipe out the bottom that goes into the ground is your backwash pipe. Figuring out where it goes is up to you to figure out

I would not think there are any other valves.
I think you just have to turn the handle and pull up and then turn it to lock it up? Been 8 years since I have used a valve like that and I can't remember.
