cloudy water havent seen bottom yet this season please help!

started with a swamp 4 weeks ago been reading pool school over and over going back and forth to pool store(I know!!) but I'm so confused! Here are my latest readings:
TC 6.4
FC 6.1
ph 7.6
TA 118
CH 123
CYA 35

its still very cloudy but a pretty blue trying to get clear. Thought I was there since my CC is .3 but pool store says keep shocking what do you think? Im adding the stuff to raise CH slowly.

You answered your own question.

Shock is a one-time chlorine bomb on your pool. Was it enough to kill algae? Was it too much for your CYA level? How do you enev know?

The answer is to follow the SLAM procedure. Pool School - SLAM - Shock Level And Maintain

Keep the FC level above 16 until you pass the three criteria.

If you don't have the right test kit, you won't get an accurate FC reading (or...any other accurate reading, really).

I don't mean to beat you over the head, but if you are serious about fixing your pool and taking real ownership of it, get a recommended testkit ASAP. Pool School - Test Kits Compared
