Just Curious - Higher CYA with SWG

I am just curious (I'm geeky that way always wanting to understand something) WHY is it recommended that your CYA is higher for a SWG pool than one maintained with bleach?
My SWG manual says to maintain at 30, whereas TFP recommends 80? I brought mine up to 60, but just scared to go higher after all the posts I've read of CYA levels being too high.
If someone could explain it to me, then I might feel more comfortable adding the extra 20.

Because the SWG adds chlorine slowly and the higher CYA level better protects it from the sun. You actually end up needing to add fewer ppm of FC daily when the CYA is higher, so you SWG does not have to work as hard and should last a little longer.
