Pump Leaking between case and Motor mount

I would suggest turning off the pump

Hard to tell anything from that picture.

I think you need to start pulling it apart and find where the leak is coming from. That seems too extreme to be a shaft seal unless it broke.

Hopefully, the pump has not cracked.

It is coming from where casing and motor are bolted together. Upper screw was partially unthreaded and is now stripped to where I cannot screw back in.

Well, might be time for a new pump if you can not screw it back together.

Looks like you blew out the O-ring sealing the front and rear shells of the pump housing. Most likely due to the stripped screw. If its a machine screw you might be out of luck. If its a coarse threaded screw you may, and I stress may, get lucky with a slightly larger diameter screw.

You might be able to have a thread insert installed. I'm not sure if that is doable, but it's worth a try. And since your pump housing is a gonner anyway, you could experiment. Larger hole, new threads if there is room.
