20 or 25 µF MFD microfarad capacitor, both work?

I have a motor that needs a new run capacitor.

The current run capacitor is rated for 20 µF MFD microfarads.

Will a 25 µF capacitor work?

Run capacitors should have the exact uf as the original designed for the motor.

The details are technical but it helps optimize the magnetic fields for best performance. The capacitor is sized for the motor. The wrong capacitor can adversely affect the performance of the motor. In some cases by a little and in some cases, by a lot.

In any case, the general consensus is to use the exact one.
