Best Robot for vinyl? Dolphin can't climb walls or slope!

What robot cleaner do you guys use for a vinyl pool? I have a Dolphin Commander and it won't climb the walls or slope. So disappointed!

I can't find your specfic model, but if it is older it may just need fresh treads

Is your Dolphin Commander new, used, or heavily worn?

If it is new, try adjusting the floats on the handle to a different position and see if that helps it climb better as well as leave it in the pool for about 15 minutes before actually starting it.

If its not new, call 888-DOLPHIN for help troubleshooting the issue. I have a real deep end that has over 6 feet of full vertical wall which my Dolphin climbs just fine. In fact it climbs several inches above the water line to clean what would be the tile line above the water line in a concrete pool.

Ditto... I just purchased a Dolphin Nautilus today and it will only climb the wall half way....any suggestions on how I can get it to climb the wall entirely to the water line?

With the treads even if they don't look worn over time they stiffen, so if they don't feel soft and pliable you should try replacing them.

My Dolphin Primal X3 does climb the walls. Not every time, but it's not supposed to. It comes to the top about every 5 minutes and does the water line. I love it!
