FC vs CC?

So I have been trying to bring my FC levels down.

Today, my FC was 3 but I had some CC.
I am going to test again later to make sure it isn't above .5.
It has been Zero all week.
How do you enter CC into PoolMath?
Do you just add it onto your FC?

PH 7.8 (going to buy MA now)
FC 3.5
TA 120
CH 500
CYA 55
Salinity 3,000 (need to raise it to about 3,600)

You don't enter CC at all, it is simply a function of the reactions in your pool and a way to identify issues. With an elevated CC (>0.5) there is a potential for a significant amount of algae, much less than what can be seen, in the pool. Test again and if 0.5 or less no issue, if higher then its time to SLAM. Do not add it to your FC either.

Pool Tool is right on. I look at CC as chlorine that has done its job at killing algae. That's over simplifying it, but the CC reading lets you know there is something in the pool the FC is destroying. The higher your CC is means your FC is attacking something. That's why when doing a SLAM they tell you that once you pass the OCLT where your FC is holding and the CC is .5 or less you have beaten the algae problem (along with a clear and sparkling pool that is)

The overriding question is, "Why are you bringing your FC down?" With a CYA of 60 you need to be up around 4 no less then 3.

Good point and with SWG you want CYA in 70-80 and I would tend to stay in the 7.0 range for FC

My FC was 7.5 with CYA of 20.
With a CYA of 60 (still low for SWG pool), my target FC is 4.

I'm just getting my head around regulating the SWG.
