Welcome and congratulations on being halfway there! Can't wait to see how it turns out! What selections have you made for coping, waterline, deck, plaster, etc? Have you decided yet?

Deep Harbor Blue plaster, pecan colored decking, flagstone coping and stacked flagstone on the wall, tile at the waterline in the pic below...it's the one on the left.

Due to the slope of our backyard, our PB suggested a retaining wall. We opted to save some cash and do most of it ourselves. I did pay them to build a 46' concrete footer for the wall, but my warrior wife and I did the wall building.

Great start!

Will you have some kind of drain on the pool side of wall you built to help get rid of the water?

Kim:cat:

A couple of things about it. Technically, no there is not traditional drainage. The wall however, is porous in nature. The dirt is t dirt, it's clay. Additionally, the yard will be graded at pool completion and be done in such a way to drain away from the wall. I spoke heavily to my pool builder about drainage and he said there are zero concerns in his opinion. We built the wall to his specs actually. I read online about putting in drains and believed it to be necessary, however, he assures me there is not any concern. We will see in time.
