Missing Part

Just topped pool up for new season hooked everything up and the cap that goes on the bottom of my sand filter is missing....it is a threaded cap...anyone know what I can do to replace it...Doughboy above ground pool with doughboy filter and pump..

Without the threaded cap water keeps coming out filter.....

Just a hunch that it is proprietary threads and may use an o-ring. So, you likely need to find an OEM replacement.

can you explain what they all means...
Also I can't run my pump with out it b/c it leaks out the bottom...it is the spigot looking shaft at very bottom of sand filter...How can I pump and circulate water until I get part?

Google 'lowes pvc threaded cap' - maybe one of these would work.

Look inside the filter basket. A lot of times plugs and things get put inside there so they don;t get lost over the winter.

That is where we usually put everything...husband is actually the one that closed it down...but not in there is there a way we can still circulate pool water so it isn't just sitting water

I guess I am not sure what filter you have and what part is missing. Picture?

If you do not have a multi-valve that has a recirculate option, then you can not run the pump until the filter is plugged.
