I was wondering why there is not a calculation for Total Chlorine in the pool calculator. Is it irrelevant?

TC (total chlorine) = FC (free chlorine) + CC (combined chlorine).
FC and CC do different things, FC keeps your pool safe, while CC indicates that there is a problem and causes bad smells.
You always want CC to be zero. When CC is zero, you can treat TC as if it was FC.

Total chlorine is your Free chlorine (which is available to sanitize your water) plus Combined chloramines (which is used up chlorine)
