pentair tagelus TA 60D sand filter

While deep cleaning out my sand filter I discovered that the lateral assembly used appears incorrect. My filter is a Tagelus TA60D which uses 8 laterals and the part I pulled out of my filter has 6 laterals. Question is how much of a difference will this have made?

Probably not much difference in filtration. You might get a little more flow through the filter with more laterals (more available suction area = less restriction) but it should be fine with 6 as long as your filtration is working as it's set up.
