Pool Fill first time

Okay so we will be filling our pool up for the first time after they do the plaster. Question is should we fill it up by hose or should we get a company to deliver? I think we are about 21k gallons? Thanks in advance!

Depends on the quality of the water

No saying if the delivered water would be better than your tap water ... some have had water delivered full of iron from the hydrant or trucks.

We have city water (I guess that's what you call it) we asked if we could make a donation to our fire department but they don't do that anymore Hmm I wonder if it will be the same amount to use our hose vs getting to delivered.

Do you have any reason to not trust your own water?

Have you tested it? Do you have one of the Recommended Test Kits?

No just thinking it could be a slow/expensive process!

Call your city water supplier and ask how much it will cost. And some cities offer to waive the sewer charge when filling a pool. Use 2 hoses, it will go a lot faster.

Unless you're under some form of restrictions, where you might incur fines, tap water has to be cheaper than paying someone to haul it. Look at your water bill. Most of mine is taxes and fees and surcharges. The actual water is pretty cheap.
