You probably don't need a builder for changing pool equipment. You can have a plumber / electrician with pool experience change out your equipment (sounds like you are looking to swap out equipment )

There's more than likely going to be some major plumbing re-work involved with replacing the motor and/or the filter. It's not as easy as swapping out some gear.
...and now digging up and re-plumbing the pipes from the skimmer to the equipment. Leaky skimmer line has come up as a problem to deal with.
