Just got our Kreepy Krauly Kruiser-any hints?

Still getting the hang of this pool ownership thing . I just received the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser that I ordered and plan on putting it together this weekend and trying it out. We don't have a dedicated suction line so it will go in the skimmer. Any hints on anything that people have found to make it easier to put together/hook up/use?

Make sure your hose fits together smoothly and firmly (not overly tight, though).
