DE Filter Air Bleeder keeps getting a hole knocked in it

I have a Pentair 60inch FNS Plus DE filter, and this is the 2nd time this has happened. How is this happening? I turn the pressure valve when I start the pump to let the air out. Any ideas?

Seems like part of my pool startup procedure now is to buy a new one of these when I clean the grids.

Are you opening the air bleeder after the pump is started? I have not heard of of one blowing out, so after you close it, it stays open? are you doing the same as this video
