Pentair TA-100D

I have a 25,000 gallon pool and my current sand filter is about 30 years old and starting to leak, so it is time for a new one. The pool store recommended Pentair ta-100d.

Is this a good filter and an appropriate size for 25,000 gallons?

For a 25k pool, I would suggest a minimum of a 29" diameter (4.6 sqft) sand filter. That TA-100D is a 4.9 sqft sand filter, so that would be a very good size.
