is there any place where one can buy a calcium hardness standard reagent?
why?

would just like to test my testing methods

Short answer : no

Longer answer - make your own using hardness increaser (calcium chloride) and distilled water. Shouldn't be too hard, you just have to buy a bottle if CH increaser. Try the spa products section as its used/sold more often there and would come in smaller quantities.
