I have soaked the electrode and the cell for one hour and received the same message "maintenance" so i soaked the same items all night and the next day received the same message "Maintenance" any suggestions or comments would be helpful.

Are you sure that is not just a reminder to check your cell and not that there is actually something wrong? You may be able to just clear the code. But, I do not know that SWG model.
